I’ve never been a huge fan of Akon’s music generally, as it isn’t my style, but this Tracy Young Monster Club Mix is closer to the mark, and would make people move a bit more than the average Akon track.

Akon’s production has come on in leaps and bounds recently too – its no accident that Lady Gaga finally hit the big time with the ‘kon behind her – and the relentless auto-tuning means that Akon (and Lady Gaga) vocals will fit very well over a variety of backings. What all of this chatter means is simple: Akon tracks remix easily; Akon tracks remix well.

Expect more top quality house / club remixes of Akon tracks over the next few years!
