Loading ...Basshunter has been one of the musical phenomena of the past year. His music has gone from niche online success, to major global domination, in a couple of short years.
This “Numa Numa” song was one which enjoyed a similar story to Basshunter: when a Romanian group by the name of O-Zone released their pleasant and tuneful song “Dragostea Din Tei“, they could not have known that it would rock holiday resorts the world over, and would follow everyone home long after the summer had gone. This song (later nicknamed “Numa Numa” on the internet) achieved a number 2 ranking in the UK charts back in 2004.
Basshunter himself is no stranger to the crossover from internet phenominon to UK chart success: his first chart foray saw him hit #1 with Now You’re Gone a catchy song developed from the Swedish Boten Anna (a song about a chat room robot!).
It would seem, then, that this marriage of Dragostea Din Tei and Basshunter, with the addition of the hitherto relative unknown Alina Puscau, should go to the very top. Only time will tell…

oh my god….o-zone..dragostea din tei…hm…i am a romanian girl and, let me tell you, that this song was a hit for over 3 years in my country….i can see that now it has become a hit all over the world…good for them but…the group o-zone is not really a romanian group…the guys are from moldavia…and they have come to romania ’cause in tehir contry no one would listen to them until they have become popular in europe….so….they are NOT romaninan..and about alina….no one knows who she is here in romania…who is she anyway????…never mind…..no one even cares about her…bye all
