(+30 rating, 54 votes) Loading ...This further mashup of Ne-Yo’s “Closer” confirms wht I had already suspected – that the track contains so few actual notes that you could, in fact, mix it with absolutely anything. It won’t sound out of tune because he only sings one note, which was autotuned anyway. You can slide it up and down the scale and it will sound the same. Poor old musical Craig David’s having to follow in his footsteps, hence this nicely put together partnership “Closer to Insomnia” by Robin Skouteris.
Robin is from Athens and has a veritable range of good mashups under his belt. Expect to see more from Robin on this site in future.

The best option would be to request it on the remix in question – there are basically three ways in which remixes are added here:
1) by the person who made it;
2) by someone who likes the remix and discovered it; or
3) by Remix.vg admins (like me, and Linda (who did this one), and a couple of others!)
HOWEVER, this track is by Robin Skouteris, a guy who we’ve featured a few times as we like his mashups – he personally put the following download link up for people:

So, to answer your question, it depends on the remix in questions – it varies – the official ones are commercially available, so we can’t give them away personally. Also, the non-commercial (see bootleg) copies have copyright issues that we’re currently trying to sort out… bit of a minefield. Long story short: ask the people who made it for a copy, or try to get your own – though we can generally help point you in the right direction for that!
