Yet another Bimbo Jones remix here – this is the remix of Jordin Sparks’ “Battlefield”.
As always, it’s a solid remake without much deviation from the original format.

Dare I say it, they’re getting a bit boring. I guess the guys probably make a few quid getting their remixes onto CD singles, but something a little more risky would be nice.
mrplow – I would probably agree with you there. I had heard that Bimbo Jones are now a two piece, when formerly they were three (though don’t quote me on that, as it is just a hazy recollection of a conversation!) – which might also have something to do with it.
Hey Guys,
Thanks for your comments.
Firstly Rob, great site and thanks for your support its great when people put the time and the effort into something such as this as its a lot of work but so worth it for the love of music!
Secondly just to let you now Bimbo Jones the production team is actually Marc JB & Lee Dagger. It always has been since we started in 2001 and over 60 Numero Uno club tracks later we’re lovin’ it even more!
Bimbo Jones the act is Marc JB, Lee Dagger & our fantastic leading lady Katherine Ellis (I’m sure you’ve heard of her).
So I hope that clears that up .
In response to “dare I say it” hey man no problem at all and we all have our own opinions. as a side note Jordin Sparks “Battlefield” funnily enough has just hit the top spot in the UK commercial club chart with our mix. Her last and only entry hit number 6 so hey party on!
Cheers,

Thanks Al,
Glad I said I wasn’t sure
I knew that Bimbo Jones were a trio last time I saw them, so when someone the other day said “no there’s only 2″ I assumed (incorrectly) that this meant there had been a change – though, as you point out, I wasn’t wrong that there were three of them at that time too – so thanks for making the distinction.
The remixes that have come out have been excellent, and we’ve tried to feature as many of them as possible as, generally speaking, they’ve been really high quality.
That said, its difficult to please everyone all the time (though look back at what we’ve said about most of the other Bimbo Jones remixes, and you’ll see we generally are full of praise).
Congratulations with your success on this one, and I look forward to hearing more from team Bimbo Jones in future. Feel free to let us know when new mixes are ready etc, too, and we’ll try to help you promote the commercially available copies here.
It is interesting, though, that the one track we felt (slightly) disappointed with is the one that has met with commercial success: isn’t that always the case!! Whatever our opinion is on the odd track that doesn’t quite rock our world, you certainly seem to have a winning formula. Keep ‘em coming!
Rob
